So, this past summer I moseyed on into the nail salon for a nice relaxing pedicure. I, being the fairly chatty person that I am, struck up a conversation with the people on either side of me…which is how I came to meet Kylie…found out she was a senior in high school, that she lived in Alaska and was only in town visiting her grandparents and her horses (which stay on her grandparents property). I told her I love photographing seniors, handed her my card and wished her the best.
I got a message on my phone about a month back saying “You may not remember me, I’m the girl, from the Nail salon, that you talked with this summer….I will be in town in Oct. and would love you to shoot my senior photos…” So of course I was happy to be of service
. The day she was here, it was pouring down rain ~ typical PNW weather….and she told me that where she lives it rains a ton as well…. but, let me tell ya, she didn’t care one bit about that rain. I absolutely loved this about her… Kylie is one tough chick & she rocked her rainy session…. & I mean rocked it.
My closing thoughts on this story :
It’s always good to talk to the people around you at the nail place…. and don’t be afraid to let the rain hit your face…. ~Heidi
